OUR CLUB

The mission of the Connecticut Football Club is to be able to produce or form Premier-Developmental teams (U9 - U12) and Premier teams (U13 - U19) that can compete favorably with other top organizations both in and out-of-state. In addition, we will offer a variety of team and individual programs for players of all ability levels to aid them in their desire to continue to improve and develop as soccer players

What began as a premier club for only girls back in 1999 has grown into a full-service soccer club for boys and girls that offers programs to players of all ages and levels. The club is comprised of distinct geographical branches: Founding branches CFC Arsenal (Northern Fairfield County) and CFC Wolves (Hartford County), along with the CFC Wave (New Haven County), CFC North (Northeast CT), and most recently, CFC South (Stamford County), and CFC Sportsworld (E. Windsor/Northern CT). At U15, the branches come together to form CFC United teams. With the CFC Arena and CFC Park, teams can train year-round, rain or shine. United teams compete in the ECNL, one of the top leagues in the country. With a coaching staff that includes 15 college coaches, 7 current or former ODP staff coaches, 2 Regional Staff coaches and 2 National Staff coaches, we believe our staff is the best in Connecticut, if not the country. Emphasis is on player development in a team setting, focusing on preparing players to pursue the game at whatever level they decide. Please search through our site. We are confident you will find a team that is the right fit for you. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We will see you on the field!

CT's PREMIER FOOTBALL CLUB

Our History

The Connecticut Football Club was established in 1999 via the merging of the Arsenal Soccer Club with the Connecticut Jr. Wolves to become the largest premier soccer organization for girls in the state of Connecticut.

The club originally consisted of 2 branches: CFC Wolves (Rocky Hill/Windsor) and CFC Arsenal (Lower Fairfield County). In 2002, a 3rd branch (CFC Impact) was added to enable the club to develop in the N. Branford/New Haven area of the state. In 2008, the CFC Gunners branch was added in the Northwest corridor of the state. Most recently, we have added the CFC Azzurri branch to service players from the Farmington Valley area of the state, CFC Extreme to service the Brookfield, Newtown I84 corridor and CFC Candlewood to service New Milford and the New York border. CFC’s unique “EIGHT branches” enables the club to service both male and female players from all parts of the state.

All branches of the club work together to meet the needs of soccer players of all ages through the variety of programs that the club now offers. The club offers “selection-only” premier level teams in the U13- U19 age groups in addition to a U9 thru U12 Developmental-Premier Program.
CFC also offers an academy program and a selection of Summer camps and has developed into a truly “full-service” soccer club that offers a program to suit everyone.

In 2004, the club began forming CFC United teams from all branches U15 and up.
CFC United represents the top tier youth branch of the club. Since forming, CFC has produced 24 State Champions,  9 Region I Semifinalists,  4 Region I Finalists, and 1 Regional Champion– demonstrating a depth that has helped establish CFC as one of the top 20 clubs in the nation. In 2007, CFC became only the 2nd club in Connecticut history to advance three teams to the Regional semifinals in the same season.

In 2007, CFC added a women’s team to it’s stable when it formed the CFC Passion.  After an exhibition season in 2007, the team became a full member of the W-League in 2008, finishing it’s inaugural campaign 7-5-2, good for a 5th place finish in the hotly contested 9 team Northern Division of the 32 team league.  The Passion represents the highest point of the club pyramid as nearly 90% of the roster is comprised of current and former CFC players that came up through the youth program.  The Passion provides CFC players with a place to train and play while they are in college.

Each season, several players from the CFC United program are invited to train with and and be called up to play with the Passion, as they prepare to move on to college.
