The Connecticut Football Club (CFC) Player Development System is a comprehensive, tiered model designed to create an elite training environment for youth players across Connecticut and the surrounding region. Drawing on decades of success and a commitment to player growth, CFC offers one of the most advanced developmental pathways in the Northeast, culminating in national-level competition through the ECNL and beyond. Our coaches are trained in CFC’s proven player-first methodology and receive ongoing professional development to help every athlete reach their highest potential.

CFC’s development pyramid consists of seven progressive levels. At the foundation are our Little Kickers and In-House Programs, including branches such as CFC Bethany, CFC Arsenal, and CFC Legacy, which provide grassroots access to high-quality coaching and fundamental skill-building for young players.

Next is our EDP Futures and CFC Emerging Talent Programs, where local players compete in leagues across Connecticut and the Northeast. Players are selected through tryouts and evaluations and receive increased exposure to tactical and physical development.

Above this level, CFC offers 3 tiers of Pre-ECNL programs that serve as a key identification and preparation platform for emerging elite players. These players compete in the EDP Championship, USYS National League, and the NAL. These teams train and compete in high-level regional events and prepare athletes for the demands of full-time national competition. 

At the top of the pyramid are our CFC United Boys and Girls ECNL teams, the most competitive teams in the club. These squads represent CFC on the national stage, competing in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), the top tier of youth soccer in the U.S. The ECNL platform offers unmatched opportunities for college recruitment, professional scouting, and long-term player development.
