CFC History

Founded in 1999 through the merger of Arsenal Soccer Club and the Connecticut Jr. Wolves, Connecticut Football Club (CFC) quickly became the state’s largest premier soccer organization for girls.

The club began with two branches — CFC Wolves (Rocky Hill/Windsor) and CFC Arsenal (Lower Fairfield County). Over the years, CFC expanded to serve players across Connecticut with the addition of branch programs and adding boys programming:

  • CFC Impact (2002) – North Branford/New Haven
  • CFC Gunners (2008) – Northwest corridor
  • CFC Azzurri – Farmington Valley
  • CFC Extreme – Brookfield/Newtown/I-84 corridor
  • CFC Candlewood – New Milford and the NY border

As the club evolved it moved from a branch model to a more regionalized approach. Present day CFC Consists of programs for boys and girls from Westchester County NY, to Tolland County CT.

  • CFC United Boys (ECNL & ECNL RL) – CFC Park Home Base
  • CFC United Girls (ECNL & ECNL RL) – CFC Park Home Base
  • CFC Legacy (ECNL RL Girls) – Westchester County NY & Lower Fairfield County
  • CFC Arsenal (Boys and Girls) – Middle Fairfield County
  • CFC Ole (Boys and Girls) – Upper Fairfield County
  • CFC North (ECNL RL Boys & Girls) – Hartford and Tolland Counties

CFC now supports both male and female players from every corner of the state.
